The Segment Menu contains commands for working with the individual segments of tracks in the current song. For event tracks in Track View, it also has commands for working with selected and new events.
The Segment menu is available only in Mixer View and Track View.
Some of the commands are also available as buttons on the tool bar or segment bar.
Commands
Edit
Opens the Edit Segment window, the Edit Chord window or Edit Scale window, depending on which segment has the focus. This command is active only in Mixer View, and is not needed in Track View, where segments can be edited directly in the workspace.

Record
Opens the Record Segment window, the Record Chord window, or Record Scale window, depending on which segment has the focus. With these, you can input to the song using a piano keyboard or other Midi instrument. If no Midi Input device is selected, this command is not active.
Key: Ctrl+R
Split
Splits the selected segment (or range of segments) into multiple smaller segments.
Key: Ctrl+I
Join
Joins the selected segments into a larger segment within each track.
Key: Ctrl+J
Repeat
Converts the selected segment (or range of segments) into a repeat segment, or back to a standard segment again.
Autostyle
Converts the selected segment (or range of segments) into a autostyle segment, or back to a standard segment again.
Render
Converts the selected repeat or autostyle segment (or range of segments) into standard segments, converting all virtual events into real events which can be edited.
Tools >
Contains the Selection Tool and a collection of other tools for creating new segment events. The specific tools shown here depend on which track has the focus. The Tools submenu and the Events submenu below it are available only in Track View.
Events > Properties
Shows or hides the properties table in the segment sheet.
Events > Select All
Selects all events in the segment sheet.
Events > Select
Opens the Select Events window, which offers a variety of criteria for selecting groups of events. This can be more convenient than direct selection with the mouse for complex event groupings.
Events > Make Louder
Increases the velocity of the selected events by 5%.
Events > Make Softer
Reduces the velocity of the selected events by 5%.
Events > Play
Auditions the sound of the selected event. Available only when a single event is selected.
Events > Adjust
Opens the Adjust Events window, which allows you to make a variety of adjustments to the pitch, velocities, positions or lengths of the selected events.
Events > Delete
Deletes the selected events.
