The Segment Bar appears in Track View when an event track has the focus in the work sheet.

It provides shortcuts for managing the segment sheet, editing and creating events and changing the song setup and track setup.

Many of these controls are also available from the View, Track and Segment menus.

Controls

V-Zoom

Controls the vertical magnification of segment sheets.  The commands are not active for rhythm segments or lyric segments, where the height is automatically controlled.  Zoom To Height chooses the magnification which best fits the entire vertical scope of the segment into the available height.

Menu: View-VZoom

H-Zoom

Controls the horizontal magnification of segment sheets.  Zoom To Width chooses the magnification which best fits the entire horizontal span of the segment into the available width.  If the span is too large to fit even at the lowest zoom (25%) then the magnification is reset to 100% instead.

Grid Lines
Snap To Grid

Controls the how many grid lines are shown in segment sheets for each quarter note of duration.  Snap To Grid selects whether event lengths and positions are snapped to the nearest grid line when being created or edited in segment sheets.

Play Bar

Starts playback of all tracks at the current location for a single bar only.  This is useful for auditioning a small portion of the song when editing.

Menu: Song-Transport-Play Bar

Key: F7

Play Bar Solo

Starts solo playback of the focus track at the current location for a single bar only.  This is useful for auditioning a small portion of the track when editing.

Menu: Track-Transport-Play Bar Solo

Key: F8

Setup Track

Opens the Track Setup window, which allows you to adjust the scope or controls of the track with the focus.  The command icon and pages vary, depending on the track.

Key: Ctrl+T

Mute Track

Mutes or enables the sound of the focus track.  When a track is muted, the background color is shown in gray.

Menu: Track-Mute

Key: Ctrl+M

Properties

Shows or hides the properties table in the segment sheet.

Select All Events

Selects all events in the segment being edited.

Menu: Segment-Events-Select All

Segment Tools

Contains the Selection Tool and a collection of other tools for creating new segment events.  The specific tools shown depend on which track has the focus.
