The Song Menu contains commands for working with the structure of the current song, and for changing those properties which apply to the song as a whole. It also has several commands for controlling song playback.
The Song menu is available only in Mixer View, Track View and Staff View.
Some of the commands are also available as buttons on the tool bar, transport bar, mixer panel, segment bar, or staff bar.
Commands
Setup
Opens the Song Setup window, which allows you to change the structure, and a wide range of properties, of the current song.
Key: Ctrl+U
Protection
Opens the Song Protection window, which indicates the protection options that have been applied to the song, and allows you to unlock it, if permitted.
Publisher
Jumps to Network View, and attempts to login to locate the publisher of the song or style in the ChordWizard Network.
Change Style
Opens the Change Style window, which allows you to change the style being used for autostyle segments in all tracks of the song.
Insert Bars
Opens the Insert Bars window, which lets you insert new bars into the song.
Key: Ctrl+Ins
Delete Bars
Opens the Delete Bars window, which lets you delete a range of bars from the song.
Key: Ctrl+Del
Section Marker
Opens the Section Marker window, where you can add or remove a marker label, a substyle, a key signature or a new line at the current location.
Tempo Change
Opens the Tempo Change window, where you can add or edit a tempo change at the current location.
Volume Change
Opens the Volume Change window, where you can add or edit a volume change at the current location.
Exchange Tracks
Starts the Exchange Tracks process, which allows you to transfer musical content from one track to another, or to merge track content.
Convert Meter
Opens the Convert Meter window, where you can change the time signature used by the current song or style.
Metronome
Enables or mutes the song playback metronome. This option is also available on the Controls page.
Transport > Play
Starts playback of all tracks beginning at the current location. Playback will continue until stopped, or the end of the song is reached. If already active, stops playback.
Key: F5
Transport > Play Bar
Starts playback of all tracks at the current location for a single bar only. This is useful for auditioning a small portion of the song when editing.
Key: F7
Transport > Play Special
Opens the Play Special window, where you can start playback with special options for the whole or part of the song.
Key: Ctrl+L
Transport > Pause
Pauses the active playback. If already paused, restarts playback.
Key: F9
Transport > Stop
Stops the active playback.
Key: F10
