Manuals

The distinctive feature of Mixer View is obviously the Mixer Panel, usually located at the left side.

Except for the level meters, all of the controls are also available in the Song Setup window or in each Track Setup window.  But the mixer panel brings them together in one place where they can be adjusted even during song playback.

Track Controls

The upper half of the mixer panel contains a color-coded set of controls for each sound track.  There can be up to five of these - the Melody, Riff, Rhythm, Bass and Drums tracks - depending on which are active in the song.

At the top are buttons, displaying a different icon for each track, which open the Track Setup window.

Below these are the pan position controls, which place each track's output in the stereo field from left to right.  These can be adjusted by clicking with the mouse button, or using the mouse wheel.

Below these are the track level controls, which adjust the volume of each track relative to the others.  These are best adjusted during playback.  Track levels are displayed as a percentage, or as a Midi value, depending on your preference.  These can be adjusted by dragging the slider thumb or using the mouse wheel.

And below these is a mute button for each track, which can silence a track without disturbing the track level setting.  Muted tracks are shown throughout the workspace with a gray background or gray staff symbols.

Song Controls

The controls in the lower half of the mixer panel apply to the song as a whole.

On the left are slider controls for the master volume and master tempo.  These can be adjusted by dragging the slider thumb or using the mouse wheel.

Master volume is displayed as a percentage, or as a Midi value, depending on your preference.  Master tempo is displayed in quarter notes per minute.

At the top right are buttons which open the Track Setup window for the Chords track or the Song Setup window, where all song properties can be adjusted.

At the bottom right are the level meters, which monitor and display the sound output levels during playback.  The monitor line and sensitivity of the level meters can be adjusted with the Midi Output Details window.
