The Section Marker window is opened from the workspace with the following command:
| Button | Menu |
| Song-Section Marker |
It lets you mark out the sections of a song and their properties. Section markers can be entered at any bar in the song, and their properties apply until the next marker (if any) overrides them.
All properties are independent. For example, you can change a key signature or substyle without entering a marker label.
New properties can be added by ticking their checkbox, and existing properties deleted by removing the tick.
Controls
Marker Label
Provides a label for the section starting at the selected bar. Typically this will be something like Verse, Chorus, Intro, etc.
Substyle
Specifies which substyle is to be used for generating virtual events in autostyle segments for this section. If no substyles are defined in a song, then the whole song uses substyle [A].
Key Signature
Specifies which key signature is to be used for generating notation symbols in staff sheets for this section. Has no effect on work sheet display, except for the (green) indicator.
The default key signature in the song setup applies up to the first key signature change.
Start New Line
Indicates that the section should start a new line in the work sheet display. Applies only in Mixer View, where the song framework is wrapped into lines.
Preview
Shows a preview of how the section marker properties will be indicated in work sheets.
OK
Closes the window and updates the section marker properties at the focus bar.
Cancel
Returns to the workspace without making any change.
