The Transport Bar appears in Mixer View, Track View and Staff View.
It provides shortcuts for the menu commands which control song playback, recording and style selection.
For each view, the transport bar can be hidden, or moved to the top or bottom of the view using the Layout Options.
Controls
Style
Selects the style to be used for the current track or the whole song, depending on the Apply To setting. If applying to Each Track, the style names are color-coded accordingly.
Selecting a style from this list will open the Change Style window, which allows you to audition it, and adjust how the style will be applied the song.
Styles can also be changed in the Tracks page.
Go To Start
Moves the focus to the first bar in the song. Any selected range of cells is dropped.

Key: F4
Play
Starts playback of all tracks at the current location. Playback will continue until the end of the song is reached or until stopped. If playback is already active, stops playback.
Menu: Song-Transport-Play
Key: F5
Play Special
Opens the Play Special window, where you can start looped playback for the whole or part of the song.
Menu: Song-Transport-Play Special
Key: Ctrl+L
Play Solo
Starts solo playback of the focus track at the current location. Playback will continue until the end of the song is reached, or until stopped. If solo playback is already active, stops playback.
Menu: Track-Transport-Play Solo
Key: F6
Pause
Pauses the active playback. If playback is already paused, resumes playback.
Menu: Song-Transport-Pause
Key: F9
Stop
Stops the active playback, however it was started.

Key: F10
Record
Opens the Record Segment window, the Record Chord window, or Record Scale window, depending on which track has the focus. With these, you can input to the song using a piano keyboard (or other Midi instrument) connected to the computer's Midi input. If no input device is selected, this command is not active.

Key: Ctrl+R
Prior Cell
Moves the focus to the prior cell in the song. Any selected range of cells is dropped.
Menu: Edit-Go To-Prior Cell
Next Cell
Moves the focus to the next cell in the song. Any selected range of cells is dropped.
Menu: Edit-Go To-Next Cell
Location
Displays the current location of either the playback marker or the focus cell, depending on whether playback is active or not.
Time Location
Changes the display mode of the Location control. The current location in the song can be expressed either as bar.beat.tick or as minute.second.cent format.

Metronome
Enables or mutes the song playback metronome which can be heard during song playback. This option is also available on the Controls page.
