The main environment for working with events is the segment sheet, in which you place events on lines that represent the scope, or available sounds of each track. Scope can be adjusted in the track setup.
The exact layout and operations of segment sheets depend on whether you are editing a melody, rhythm, drum or lyric segment. However there are many features common to all track types.
In Songtrix, segment sheets for editing appear within the workspace itself in Track View, and within the Edit Segment window opened from Mixer View. They are also used when recording events.
In both cases, they are supported by the same set of controls and commands for managing the display (such as H-Zoom, V-Zoom and Grid Lines), the segment tools, and the events.
