Songtrix offers eight tracks (plus the Control track) for use in a song, any or all of which can be included.
There are several different types of tracks, each with their own purpose. Five of them produce sound, while the others contain lyrics, or are used to guide and define the harmony of the song.
Each track has a set of properties controlling its appearance, behaviour or sound output, which are managed using the Track Setup window.
A major feature in Songtrix is the ability to split tracks into segments of shorter lengths. This is optional for most tracks, but provides a flexible and convenient way to develop musical ideas quickly.
Tracks can be linked together in Songtrix. This is a powerful feature which allows the chords, scales and events in tracks to guide the development of other tracks, and even keep them synchronized with changes.
There are also several functions you can use to manage whole tracks, or large selections of the song, at once.
