The Staff Sheet page appears in the Printing Options property window for Staff Sheet reports.
In addition to the controls shown below, there are extra buttons which are common to all property windows.
A similar page of options appears in the Song Setup window to control the layout of the staff sheet within the workspace. However there are few differences between the two situations.
When printing, you have full control over which tracks you want to include in the report, and in which order. You can also choose to inherit most staff layout settings from the song.
The differences are described below. In all other respects the settings on this page are identical to those on the Staff page of the song setup.
Controls
Tracks
Lists all tracks included in the song as bold colored items, and those not used as small gray items.
Next to each track item is a checkbox which controls whether a track should appear in the report or not.
Tracks can only appear in the report (ie. be active) if they are both in the song and ticked in the list. As ticks are added or removed, the active count at the top of the list is updated.
Move Up
Active tracks appear in the report layout with the same order in which they appear in the Tracks list. You can change this order by shifting the track items up and down in the list.
When the Move Up button is pressed, the highlighted item is exchanged with the item above it, and occupies a higher position in staves within the report.
Move Down
When the Move Down button is pressed, the highlighted item is exchanged with the item below it, and occupies a lower position in staves within the report.
Use Song Options
Causes the printed Staff Sheet report to use the layout options specified on the Staff page of the song setup, that produce the layout in the Staff View.
Well designed songs should usually contain staff settings appropriate for their musical content, so this is a convenient option, and keeps the staff formation in the report consistent with what you see in the the workspace.
However, you can remove the tick and enter your own custom settings for the printed report. Even if you do Use Song Options, you still have the freedom to activate, deactivate or exchange the tracks in the report.
Reset
Resets all settings on the page to their default values.
