The Preview Song page appears as the final step in the Import Midi process (and the Exchange Tracks process).

It allows you to explore exactly what the song will look and sound like, before it is created (or restructured).

Because the song has not yet been confirmed, you can still step back through the process and adjust options to improve the results.

When you press Finish, the process completes and the new song appears in the workspace.

Work Sheet

The song tracks to be created appear in the familiar work sheet format, exactly as they will if you confirm this final step.

You can scroll the work sheet horizontally to examine each part of the song, and click on a cell to audition the events in it, just as in the workspace.

Title

For the import process only, you can specify a title to use for the song.  This will appear in the song banner, and the credits for the song.  The filename of the original Midi file is used by default.

Go To Start

Moves the focus cell in the work sheet to the first bar of the song.

Play All

Starts playback of all tracks beginning at the focus bar.  Playback continues until the end of the song is reached, or until terminated by this or the Stop button.

Play Solo

Starts playback of the focus track only, beginning at the focus bar.  Playback continues until the end of the song is reached, or until terminated by this or the Stop button.

Stop

Terminates any playback mode that may be active.
