The Export Song process is started from the workspace with File-Export Song. It consists of two main steps.
In the first step, you select the content to export. This may be the whole song, or any smaller part of it instead. You also specify what type of file you want to export to.
In the second step, you can adjust the detailed options for the export file type you have chosen. There are three available file types:
Midi File - as you might expect, songs can be readily exported to a Midi file. Midi files have a MID file type.
Wave File - songs can be converted to wave audio for burning to a CD. This is done by playing the song and capturing the audio at the same time. Wave files have a WAV file type.
Mp3 File - songs can be converted to compressed audio for copying to an Mp3 player. This is done by playing the song and capturing the audio, then compressing it with an additional operation. Mp3 files have a MP3 file type.
Each time you export a song, Songtrix remembers the settings you used, and makes them the default options for the next time you export the same song. This makes it easy to reproduce the export process used for each song the previous time.
| Songtrix Bronze Edition does not support exporting songs. For this feature, you will need to upgrade to the Silver or Gold Edition. |
Export files are placed by default in the Export To folder, but you can select a different location, and this too will be remembered for next export process from this song.
