Process Windows (sometimes also know as wizards) are popup windows which contain several pages, arranged in a specific sequence. Songtrix uses process windows wherever a function involves a long or complex series of choices.
There are several examples, including the New Song, Import Midi, Export Song and Package Song processes.
Only one page is visible at a time, and each page represents a step in the process, which is to be completed before moving on to the next page.
Underneath each page, all process windows contain four standard buttons.
These are used for navigating backwards and forwards through the process.
Controls
< Back
Moves backwards to the previous page in the process. This is not active on the first page.
Next >
Attempts to move forward to the next page in the process. If some details on the page are not acceptable, you will notified and may need to correct them before you can proceed.
Finish
This appears instead of the Next button on the final page. Completes the process and performs the action it has been leading towards.
Cancel
Terminates the process and returns to the workspace without completing its action.
Help
Opens Songtrix Help at the topic for the active page in the process window.
