The Exporting window appears at the end of the Export Song process, if you are exporting to a WAV File or an MP3 File.
Because these formats are wave audio, they are created by capturing the audio output of your selected Midi Output device while playing the content of the song you have selected.
This window manages the playback and capture of the music, with an optional compression step for MP3 files. You do not need to do anything with it, except allow it to complete the task.
Depending on your version of Windows and Monitor Line selection, it is a good idea not to have any other audio output occurring on the system at the same time.
If your Monitor Line is "What U Hear" or you are using Windows Vista, the output from the Midi device is mixed together with other sounds occurring on the system, which may also be captured into your export file.
Controls
File
Displays the name and location of the file which will be created on completion of the capture.
Meters
Displays the audio output levels currently being captured. These are similar to the levels displayed during playback in Mixer View.
Progress
Indicates the state of completion of the playback/capture process. The progress bar completes a full cycle for capturing the audio waveform, then an optional second cycle for compressing it (for MP3 export).
The progress is also indicated by the time location display, compared to the total duration of the exported music.
Cancel
Closes the window, and aborts the export process. No export file is created.
