The Folders window opens when you press the Folders button in the General page.

It allows you to select the file locations of the various file types used by Songtrix.

In many cases, this is a default location only, and you are still free to open or save a file in a different location.  If you do this, the new location will be remembered until the end of your Songtrix session.

Controls

Folder

This list shows the special folders maintained by Songtrix and their current location.

Song Files - the default location that appears when in the Open Song or Save Song As windows.  You can always redirect to a different folder for an individual song file.

Style Files - the default location that appears when in the Open Song or Save Song As windows when you are opening or saving a style file.  Although you can redirect to a different folder, the Style Files folder has special significance because styles must be stored here to be available for use in songs.

Template Files - the default location where Songtrix looks for and stores report templates.  Although you can save to a different folder, the Template Files folder has special significance because templates must be stored here to be available for use.

Definition Files - the location where definition files are stored.  Midi device definitions are available in Songtrix only if their files are stored in this folder.

Help Files - the location where the file containing Songtrix Help is stored.

Import From - the default location where Songtrix looks for Midi files to import.  You can always redirect to a different folder.

Export To - the default location where Songtrix places the Midi, Wave or Mp3 files it exports.  You can choose a different folder for each song, which will become the default for the next export of that song.

Package To - the default location where Songtrix places the songs and styles it packages.  You can always redirect to a different folder for an individual package.

Browse

Opens a Browse Folder window, which you can use to select a new folder location for the highlighted item in the Folder list.

OK

Accepts all settings and closes the window.

Cancel

Closes the window without making any changes to the original settings.
