The Select Destinations page appears as the first step of the Exchange Tracks process.
It allows you to specify how the tracks in the song should be exchanged or merged with each other.
Depending on the configuration you select on this page, there may be one or two extra steps in the process. These are (optionally) the Extract Chords page, followed by the Preview Song page.
The Melody, Riff, and Bass tracks can exchanged with each other, and with the combined Ch+Rh (Chords + Rhythm) tracks.
Controls
Destination Map
This is the main feature on the page, and lists the current Source tracks in the song. Next to each is a drop down list of possible Destination tracks, including tracks which may not yet be included in the song.
The default selection for all tracks is simply to themselves. Until you make a change, there is no exchange task to perform, and the process cannot continue.
If two or more Source tracks are fed into the same Destination track, then they will be merged.
Original Content
Where a Source track is being transferred to another track, but nothing is being transferred back, you can select what happens to the original content (which would now duplicate the content in its destination track).
Preserve - the track is left in its original state.
Clear Track - the events in the track are removed but the empty track remains in the song.
Remove Track - the entire track and its events are removed from the song. It can be reinstated later as an empty track using the Tracks page.
