The Tool Bar appears at the top of the workspace in every view within ChordWizard. It provides shortcuts for the most commonly used menu commands.
The tool bar can be hidden or shown using View-Tool Bar.
There are also smaller toolbars which contain buttons specific to each view. For more details on these, see the Library Bar, Design Bar, Relations Bar, Scales Bar or Tutorials Bar.
Controls
Switch Library
Opens the Switch Library window, where you can open a library for a different instrument, tuning or playing level.
Menu: File-Switch Library
Key: Ctrl+W
New Library
Starts the New Library process, where you can create a new library for any instrument, tuning or playing level.
Menu: File-New Library
Key: Ctrl+N
Open Library
Allows you to open any library file, even if it is not stored in the designated Libraries folder.
Menu: File-Open Library
Key: Ctrl+O
Save Library
Save any changes to the current library. If the library has not yet been saved to a file, opens the Save Library As window instead.
Menu: File-Save Library
Key: Ctrl+S
Print
Opens the Select Report window and then proceeds to print the report or open Print Preview.

Key: Ctrl+P
Print Preview
Opens the Select Report window and then proceeds to Print Preview.
Menu: File-Print Preview
Set Filter
Opens the Set Filter window, where you can view or change any of the criteria of the current filter.
Menu: Filter-Set
Key: Ctrl+F
Remove Filter
Clears all of the criteria of the current filter. This command is disabled if there is currently no filter.
Menu: Filter-Remove
Key: Ctrl+Shift+F
Previous Filter
Returns to the previous filter setting. This command is disabled if there are no previous filters.
Menu: Filter-Previous
Next Filter
Restores the next filter setting after a previous filter has been returned to. This command is disabled if a previous filter is not currently applied.

Note Overlay Labels
Shows overlay labels for the notes of the chord or scale filter criteria in the current workspace view.
Menu: Filter-Overlay-Note Labels
Degree Overlay Labels
Shows overlay labels for the degrees of the chord or scale filter criteria in the current workspace view.
Menu: Filter-Overlay-Degree Labels
Color Overlay Labels
Toggles between single color or full color overlay labels for the current workspace view.
Menu: Filter-Overlay-Color Labels
Tuner
Opens the Tuner tool, which you can use to tune your actual instrument and make sure the sounds you play are the same as those that ChordWizard plays.

Key: Ctrl+T
Metronome
Opens the Metronome tool, which gives a both an audible and visual metronome beat to practice playing against.
Menu: Tools-Metronome
Key: Ctrl+M
Relations Tool
Opens the Relations tool, which allows you to see which scales and chords are related to each other by the notes they are made up of.
Menu: Tools-Relations
Key: Ctrl+R
Notes To Chords
Opens the Notes To Chords tool, which analyzes the set of notes you enter, and displays the chords which contain these notes.
Menu: Tools-Notes To Chords
Notes To Scales
Opens the Notes To Scales tools, which identifies the scale(s) that a melody is based on, when you enter the notes found in the melody.
Menu: Tools-Notes To Scales
Chords To Scales
Opens the Chords To Scales tools, which identifies the scale(s) that a chord sequence is based on, when you enter these chords.

Library Options
Opens the Library Options window, which contains a number of different pages of options relating to, and stored with the current library.

Workspace Options
Opens the Workspace Options window, which contains a number of different pages of options for the whole ChordWizard workspace.
