Songtrix is designed to be highly configurable so that you can arrange your working environment in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
Many of the options (such as staff presentation) are dependent on the song. These are stored as part of the song setup, so they travel with each song, wherever it goes.
Other options (such as device selection and track colors) more properly belong to your installation of Songtrix, and apply regardless of which song is currently open.
Most of these are accessible in the Workspace Options property window, which contains six pages of settings, several of which produce other popup windows for more detail.
The placement and sizing of regions within the views of the workspace can be adjusted using the Layout Options property window, which offers a page of settings for each view.
There are also a couple of other tools which can open in popup windows in the workspace.
