The Metronome tool is a standalone utility which plays a metronome beat for you to practise against. It is independent of the bar structure of the song, and offers several extra options.
The Check Sound tool helps you to identify and correct sound problems on your computer, if you cannot hear any sound output or if the sound is at low levels.
