The Package Song process is started from the workspace with File-Package Song. It creates a packaged copy of the currently open song or style and saves it to a disk file.
The identical Upload Song process is started from the workspace with Network-Upload in Network View. It creates a packaged copy of the currently open song or style, but uploads it directly to the ChordWizard Network.
The packaging process prepares, and optionally protects your work, for successful and secure publication, viewing and playback on other computers.
Whenever you wish, you can use it to create a separate, protected copy of your work, which is ready for publication. The packaged file is usually stored in the designated Packages folder, or uploaded directly, depending on how the process was invoked.
A key feature of packaging is that the original song or style file is not affected, and you can continue to develop your unprotected source file without needing to deal with protection.
