The Open Song window is opened from the workspace with the following command:

Button	Key	Menu
	Ctrl+O	File-Open Song

It is a typical File Open window, which selects a new song or style file to be opened into the workspace.  It can also be used to delete or rename a file before (or instead of) opening a song.

The Songs folder is the initial location, unless you have already opened or saved a song somewhere else in the current session.  In this case, the most recently used folder will be remembered until the session ends.

The Open Song window has a couple of options specific to Songtrix.

Files of type

You can open a style instead of a song, by changing the Files of type setting to ChordWizard Style.  In this case you will automatically be redirected to the Styles folder.

Styles are a special type of song with a particular arrangement of sections, but they otherwise behave and can be worked with like any other song.

Open in New Window

This option launches a new session of Songtrix for the song or style to open into, without closing the current song.

If not selected, the song or style will be opened in the active session, forcing the current song to be closed first.
