Soundfonts

Can custom soundfonts be used? In the track setup I can select "custom" from the "voice bank" drop down, then there's a "0" in  the "voice" drop down. Not sure where to go from there. (If there IS anywhere to go.)

Thanks, Jim.

Soundfonts is a separate issue that we are working towards for the future...

but no, what you are referring to is simply to allow the selection a voice bank which has not been defined with a particular name.

Songtrix uses .ins files (similar to Cakewalk) to define the names of voices, voice banks and drum sounds.  See Options-Workspace-Midi Setup-Midi Output-Details.

For basic General Midi, the voice bank is usually 0.  Specific devices may also have other voices available on different banks, this is when you would seek out the .ins file definitions for that device to make selecting these other voices more convenient.
