ps in the final version, would it be possible to import melody file as midi

and then construct the song with songtrix tools?

Is this a stored song on the keyboard that you have already recorded internally?  It may be tricky trying to get the timing to match, as Songtrix will be recording based on its own tempo.

If the events are not coming through, check the channel filter on Options-Workspace-Midi Setup-Midi Input-Details.

There are tools which can give you guidance for finding scales and chords from a melody.  These include Notes To Chords, Notes To Scales, Chords To Scales and linking the Chords and Scales tracks together.

There will not be a "automagic" process for doing this though, it will still take judgement from the user to construct the accompaniment.  Maybe this is something we will look at in the future.
