Hi everybody,
Songtrix is a new experience to me, although I have over 15 years experience of computer-based music production. I am really impressed! The simplicity of the program makes it excellent as starting point for learning the basics.
But the program can also be useful for more advanced music producers. On my Homepage I have published a “case study”, how you can combine Songtrix with more advanced sequencers. This could perhaps be of interest also for other Songtrix users!
I have also prepared OVER 50 NEW SONGTRIX STYLES - based on midi-songs, that I had available. These new styles are available for free download on my Homepage:

Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!

Thanks, this is great stuff.
Love the song you've chosen for the case study, is it your own composition?
The slide guitar sounds great, did you say that was a SoundFont or VST?
Exploring all your styles now. Looks like some great material there.
You totally rock, Master Peo!
Thank you for your kind comment, Mike! The case study song “Fingerpicking Ballad” is my own composition (the melody line actually came in late in the process).
The Slide guitar is actually a Soundfont and freeware and you can download it from this address, where they call it “Pedal Steel Guitar”:

(Click on “Sound Fonts” in the left menu!)
The Soundfont format can nowadays be a bit of a problem, because Soundfonts are considered to be outdated. Not many seqencers can load a soundfont today!
I am using Steinberg Cubase and I have to use a VSTi-compatibel soundfont-player as a bridge. Process: 1) Load the VSTi Sf2-Player into Cubase 2) Load the Soundfont into the player.
The soundfont player I am using is called Sfz+ and is also freeware. Unfortunately I think they have discontinued it, which means, that you can have problems finding it on the Internet.
I am glad, that you like my contributions!
Master Peo
Thanks you for the offer of the free styles....
would help if you could zip them all up into one file/download link?
every blessing
Tim
Thanks for this sigificant contribution.
If you have time, could you upload and publish them in the Publications area?
This would make it much easier for people to access and download them directly into Songtrix.
Thanks for the suggestions!
You are right, Tim. The whole package in a zip-file would make the download easier, if someone would like to have all the styles. I´ll try to fix that ASAP.
As I see it, these new styles are at the moment not ready to be published in the Publications area, that is intended for finished projects. As I mentioned on my home page: These new styles are only to a certain extent adapted to the Songtrix Style Format. They have not been fully tested, and I cannot guarantee, that they will work as expected.
For that reason I prefer to make the styles available on my home page, where I can specify under which conditions the styles will work and how you can make the best use of them. You can read my description here:

I am glad, that you find my contribution useful, inspite of the fact that the project is n´t finished.

To make the download easier, I have made a zip-file with all the 54 new Songtrix styles available on my Home page, in case you would like to download all styles in one go:

Peo
As I mentioned in the introduction I have on my homepage published a ”casestudy”, where I - starting with the Songtrix Style Folk 1 combined with a simple chord progression - produced a fairly impressive instrumental song. I achieved this result by importing the Songtrix output into Cubase.
This song has now taken a step further: The Texasbased singer Vonee Rose listened to the song, liked it and added some lyrics. If you wish you can listen to the vocal version of this Songtrix song at the end of this page. The song is called ”It sure feels Lonely”:

Hope you like it!
