turn around ending not all chords play

Song is in 2/4, the ending has 2 measures which have 2 chords each. I split the segments and entered the chords. i only hear the first chord of each measure. if I try to add anything to the second segment of a measure in the edit rhythm window all the other chords in the song disappear. any way to deal with this?
