Recording from songtrix to audacity or cubase le 5

Please can sombody help, I want to record a backing track of a song that I've wrote to either, audacity or cubase le 5. I've tried but with no sucess, with audacity I just get a flat with no sound and cubase is the same. I really would appriciate some help with this.

You should be able to use the File-Export function to export to a WAV audio file.
Or with a little more setup, it is also possible to export to MP3.
Then you may not need Audacity or Cubase at all, unless you want to add extra audio tracks.
