Uploading a title already published

When uploading a title already published, the software proposes "Publish Now" (which would create a duplicate publication!). Why does it not propose "Edit Publication" when the upload title corresponds to a publication title? Wouldn't this be very helpful, since we don't have to know how to navigate manually to the right editing screen (which also presupposes that we even know that such a screen exists!)?

It's good point.
Generally, matching on title text is unreliable as it is vulnerable for mistyping and so on.
But it would make sense to at least offer both options if a matching title is detected.
In the new version of Songtrix, we have actually introduced marking songs with a unique ID, this will help in many ways like this, for recognising copies of the same song, recognising ownership of a song, and recognising the exact styles that a song depends on.

Many Thanks. Glad to hear that the development of the new version is in progress. Will the new version be published in 2015, or could it be that the release date is to be postponed again?

It's still very hard to predict a release date, we are alpha testing internally at the moment, but there are still more features we want to add before making it public.
Rest assured, we would like that date to be as soon as possible!
