The ChordWizard Song (and its close relative, the ChordWizard Style) is the native file format used by Songtrix to store the songs (and styles) that you create in the workspace.
It has many advantages over alternative formats such as Midi files, including storage of the chords, scales and advanced event types used in your songs, as well as your preferred staff notation layout.
But a key strength of the ChordWizard Song is its support for a variety of song protections, which are applied through the Package Song process.
There are several aspects to protection, which can include enforcing the display of the original credits, preventing editing, copying, exporting, and printing, and visibly linking to the publisher of the song.
You may permit your protected song to be unlocked with (or without) a password, or you can create a package that can never be unlocked.
