The Chords To Scales tool can be accessed from the workspace in the following ways:
| Button | Menu |
| Tools-Chords To Scales |
It appears as shown below, and allows you to find scales which are related to a series of chords you enter.
When you open this tool, if your workspace range includes chords in the Chords track, these will be automatically entered.
If you don't want them, you can use the Clear Chords button as your first action.

Scales
The chords in the Chords list are analyzed to find the scales they are related to. These scales are placed into the Scales list, together with a percentage to indicate how many of the chords they are related to.
In the example above, all visible scales are ranked at 100% to show they are related to both of the entered chords. Further down the list, you would find other scales ranked at only 50% to indicate they are related to only one chord or the other.
Hide Synonym Scales
To make the results easier to view, scales can be hidden if they are only synonyms (containing the same set of notes) which are modes of a scale that is already listed.
For example, if this option was removed in the diagram above, the modes of the C Major scale (D Dorian, E Phrygian, F Lydian, etc) would also be listed, as well as the corresponding modes of the F Major and G Major scales.
