Great job here guys and having the new videos is an immense help of not having a steep learning curve to get going.I,m a bit of a novice when it comes to midi files but i know they can be very useful so any video help with information of how to get the best use of them with songtrix and songtrix file midi compatability with other midi programs would be great. For instance can songtrix midi file be edited in a Roland workstation as i have an X8 Fantom and ideally it would be great to bounce tracks between the two in song making. So far i tend to use direct audio recording and know midi files would be great for future projects linked with songtrix gold.Have a nice day and thx for reading.
Hi SUNFLY, thanks for the comments.
The best way of combining Songtrix with other software is probably to start with Songtrix to create the musical structure and essence of the song.
Then use File-Export Song to create Midi files that you can import or link to audio workstation software so you can add audio tracks, VST instruments, etc.
If the other software can link to these Midi files instead of importing them, you can have a good workflow where changes made in Songtrix can be re-exported and immediately update the audio project.
Let us know how you get on.
I am making steady progress i had to export the correct smf format first then find it in song folder which was in C drive / program files /chordwizard folder which i had to find first, then you open song folder and then click compatible files on the tool bar above folder contents and voila. So it should be compatible with my roland sequencer when saved as the first smf save option in the list of three when exporting.
