The Scales Menu appears only in Scales View and contains commands which apply specifically to scales, scale positions, and practice sessions in this view.
Some of these commands also appear on the scales bar.
Commands
Prior Position
Displays the prior scale position (towards the lower frets) among those available for the currently selected scale.
Next Position
Displays the next scale position (towards the upper frets) among those available for the currently selected scale.
Single Practice
Demonstrates how the current scale position should be played with a Single Practice session.
Key: F9
Cycle Practice
Opens the Cycle Practice window, where you can select which parameters will vary for each step of a Cycle Practice session.
Key: F10
Stop
Terminates the current Single Practice or Cycle Practice session.
Key: F11
Show Labels-Position Only
Shows overlay labels on the Fretboard only for the locations of the notes in the current scale position.
Show Labels-All Fretboard
Shows overlay labels on the Fretboard for the locations of all notes in the currently selected scale. Those in the current scale position appear in color, the rest appear in gray.
Full Positions
Switches Scales View to work with full scale positions, including all fretboard locations that can be reached from the current fret.
Partial Positions
Switches Scales View to work with partial scale positions, which include only the notes from the root note of the scale to the root note one octave up.
View Staff
Opens the View Staff window, so you can see on staff lines the scale currently selected in the Scale Matrix.
