The File Menu contains commands for working with library files and printing reports.

The File menu is available in all views.

Some of the commands are also available as buttons on the tool bar.

Commands

Switch Library

Opens the Switch Library window, where you can open a library for a different instrument, tuning or playing level.

Key: Ctrl+W

New Library

Starts the New Library process, where you can create a new library for any instrument, tuning or playing level.

Key: Ctrl+N

Open Library

Allows you to select any library file to open, even if it is not in the special Libraries folder.

Save Library

Save any changes to the current library.  If the library has not yet been saved to a file, opens the Save Library As window instead.

Key: Ctrl+S

Save Library As

Opens the Save Library As window, which allows you save the current library under a new filename.

Import Library

Allows you to import the chordshapes from another library into the current library, first by selecting the filename of the import library, and then by selecting your Import Options.

Delete Library

Deletes the library file you select in the Delete Library window.

Print Preview

Opens the Select Report window and then proceeds to Print Preview.

Print

Opens the Select Report window and then proceeds to print the report or open Print Preview.

Key: Ctrl+P

(recent libraries)

Contains up to the four most recently opened libraries so you can quickly find them again.

Exit

Exits from ChordWizard.
