Hi,

a library would be extremely helpful. Ideas that
arise independently of songs could be stored and
then checked if they work in the context of a particular
song:

- beats
- riffs
- melodies

True.  There are two mechanisms that would work as it stands:

1.  Use a song as a library, open in a new window when required, then copy and paste the chunks of music to the destination song

2.  Save the library song as a style, then its chunks could be called up (and melodies automatically translated) into autostyle segments.

We're not sure yet if another mechanism is needed.  What did you have in mind?

Hi,

well you could have a look at Ableton (they do it with audio files)

if you have a song idea + a library you load the song and want a beat that fits or a riff or whatever. You hit play and while this runs check various things from the library against it and hear if it works. I don't think you can do this with a seperate window.

Regards

Marc
