Has anyone worked out how to edit the notes that show up in staff view?

I can't see how it's done.

Traditional music software programs often require you to edit staff notation.

But Songtrix takes a fresh and intuitive approach, allowing you work more freely with notes and events in the visual grids in Track View and Mixer view.  Songtrix then takes care of generating the correct staff notation for you.

This has many advantages over editing staff notation:

1. It can represent exact playing techniques, with events such as chord strums, pitch bends, and drum and note rolls.

2. It can represent the varying velocity (loudness) of each note, with a different shade of color.

3. It prevent your creative process from getting bogged down as an exercise in typography.

4. It allows the most powerful features of Songtrix, such as chords, scales, autostyle and repeat segments to come into play.

Some broad editing functions (such as clear, copy, paste, and track adjustments) can still be done from Staff view.

But once you try working at the higher creative level that Songtrix offers, I think you will find that it is a lot more effective.  For a quick intro, see the videos
