this software is awesome, damn good! but i'm using mac book pro...
When it can be run on mac?
There is currently no version of any ChordWizard products specifically for the Mac.
But we are currently researching the conversion process, and hope to have OSX versions of all products available during 2012.
Glad to hear it. Awaiting that moment i can buy this software as it will help me much to compose song more better as I can use as many cords and notes in my new song. Currently I'm songwriter (or more specifically called melody/lyrics maker!) that depends a lot from my music arranger to transform my idea to final song but sometimes I had to compromised on certain arrangements which not satisfied my idea but I can't explain with words.
I ran trough forum and glad to know that this software can do midi also and I'm sure that this Songtrix can go further as I followed Reason from Reason 2 and now it's already Reason 6. Hopefully!
To Songtrix and Chordwizard team; congratulation and keep up this good word.

Hi, It's 2013. Is there any news on Chordwizard products for Macs? I have just recently discovered Songtrix/Chordtrix et al, and I'm loving what I see, but I can't find any info on whether you have these products for macs yet.
I'm afraid we are still some way from having a Mac version available, although we are well advanced in the selection of the cross-platform development framework that we are planning to migrate to.
Porting large, complex applications like Songtrix is a big and time-consuming process.
We are currently working on the new version of Songtrix (more on this soon), and once that is complete, the cross platform port can get underway. We are hoping for a release date in first half 2014.
Apologies to all the Mac users for having to wait, and thanks for your patience and interest.
In the meantime, our products generally work well with a variety of Windows emulators that are available for the Mac (such as Crossover, Parallels).
You can check this without risk, using Songtrix Bronze, or the evaluation versions of the other products.
just following up. march 5th 2014. wanted to see how far you are with developing a platform for mac users I think your product is great.
Thank you. We have not started development yet, but planning is well advanced.
We are currently building a new version of Songtrix, with support for a much wider range of sounds.
Once that is complete the OSX conversion is the next project on the list.
've just purchased Songtrix Gold. I am running it on a Macbook Pro using Crossover. When released for OSX, will I have to purchase a mac version or will the new version be multi-platform. Songtrix on Crossover works well, but I get a couple of errors when opening Songtrix
"The program CWhelper has encountered a serious problem and needs to close".
I just close this dialog and Songtrix seems to work OK. It's a bit annoying though. It's probably a limitation of Crossover, rather than Songtrix.
As a guitar teacher, I would like to add my vote towards more guitar friendly features (tablature, chord grids etc). My aim is to get as many of my students interested in this product as I can. I can see it being valuable especially with beginning composition students.
