Meters not showing

It may be that this feature has not been implemented yet at this time except in the display of a meters component, but my meters show no activity during playing of the demo songs.
The meters ARE implemented. They are driven from the record input line of your sound card's input.
If you are using an external midi synth to generate the sounds, you won't see any activity in the meters unless you feed the audio back into the sound card, otherwise Windows does not "experience" the sound. This is probably not worth the effort.
Mostly, though, an internal midi synth (on the sound card or a software synth) will be what you are using. In this case, you just have to select the correct input line for the meters to sample.
You can do this from Options-Workspace-MIDI Setup. The MIDI Output device you are using will be already selected. Click on Details to see device specific settings.
The setting you are interested is Monitor Line. In general this should be set to "MIDI Synth" for a hardware sound card, or "Wave/MP3" for a software synth (including the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth).
These are the same lines that appear in the Windows Record Control selector. Try both. We've discovered a few software synths that actually generate their output through the MIDI Synth line.
Songtrix tries to pick a default choice that suits your type of synth, but sometimes it can't decide, for example the actual device thru the MIDI Mapper could be anything.
Make your selection of Monitor Line for all devices, and then as you switch between them, they will each remember their own setting.
Note that you can also adjust Monitor Gain for each device. This gives you a better Meter display for "quiet" devices, where the levels otherwise never approach maximum.
