Have just started to learn to play electric guitar at 70+, after a lifetime of being convinced that playing any instrument was beyond me. After five lessons, I'm beginning to realise that might not be true! A long way to go, but an interesting journey ahead.
Hearing from others who have started and enjoyed playing later in life would be inspirational...

G'day PAT.
Perhaps you could look into POWER CHORDS? 2 notes heaps of power!!!! I used to play 3 chord songs for so long [couldn't get any more in]...now I love playing 3 chord songs! There are millions of them...Like the MOODY BLUES, I went searching for the lost chord..I found out it was RELATIVELY MINOR THING [BOOM BOOM] Now I play the money progressions. Any variation of 4 chords like
G  C  D  Em. There are many websites that show you. Have look at "THE AXIS OF AWESOME"
