Hello,

I'm in the UK. I learned to sight read in my 20s when I made some small progress on the clarinet, and then the trumpet- the latter self-taught.
Now, some time on, I am trying to learn again, having forgot sight-reading. I've messed about with music on and off for some time, playing very basic bass as a teenager in a 'band', but not actually performing.
Since all that time ago, I have made music on Propellerhead Reason, some of which wasn't too awful.
I think I can come up with tunes, but am not good at composing whole songs. So that's one way I'd like to develop. I'd also like to get better at playing so that I can jam with other people. Ultimately, I'd like to busk.
I enjoy a very wide variety of music styles.
At present, I am practicing on an old hohner melodica, as well as on my keyboard.
There's a local group of musicians who jam locally, and one of them, who I know, has invited me to join them. Just lack the confidence/courage at the moment!
