ChordWizard supports the preparation and printing of reports with a consistent visual style, using report templates to store the settings of a report design.
This feature is particularly useful for printing a collection of libraries for publication or study, with the Chord Book report.
All of the settings of a report, including track selection and options, symbol formation, sizing, fonts, colors and alignment can be stored in a single template file which can be reloaded as required.
Template Files
Report settings are stored in ChordWizard Template files, which have a CWT type.
There is a designated Templates folder for these files. Although they can be saved anywhere, you should always store them in this folder, so they are available to ChordWizard when you want to reload them.
Report Types
The various report types have different collections of settings, so their templates are not compatible with each other.
For example, templates for Chord Book reports do not contain the same settings as the Scale Chart reports.
For this reason, you can only reload template files that were created from the same report type you are currently working with.
Template Operations
All template operations are accessed from in the Select Report window, which opens whenever report work begins.
Here you can save the current report design as a template file, or reload an existing template file (of the appropriate type) for your selected report.
