The Chord Matrix indicates and controls the chord component of the current filter in Library View. The filter determines which chordshapes in the library will appear in the Library List.
There are several other filter components which you can access through the Filter Bar or the Set Filter window, however chord filters are the most commonly used with libraries.
The Chord Matrix is colored blue to indicate that it deals with chords. Many screen elements in the ChordWizard workspace are color-coded in this way. You can change any workspace colors with the Display options.
Selecting a Chord
Each cell in the matrix represents the chord based on the chord type in the row heading and the root note in the column heading. For the example above, the row heading is m (minor chord type) and the column heading is D, making a Dm chord.
The numbers in each cell show how many chordshapes there are in the library for each chord.
In the example above, there are 10 chordshapes for Dm, and these would be appearing in the Library List for you to explore. The numbers will change as you add or delete chordshapes from the library.
