Manuals

The Fret Markers window is opened by the Fret Markers button in the Instrument page.

It allows you to adjust the type and fret positions of the fret markers that are shown in the fretboard of each view in the workspace, so they correspond exactly with your actual instrument.

To adjust the colors used for fret markers, see Display Options instead.

Controls

Positions

This list contains all the fret positions available on the fretboard.

It may offer more frets than you have chosen in the Fretboard Length options of the Instruments page, in this case you will only see the markers on the upper frets when using a capo.

Each item in the list shows either the fret number only, or appends it with =Single or =Double to indicate a single or double fret marker at that fret number.

Double/Single/None

These three buttons change the fret marker of the currently selected fret position in the Positions list.

Placement

A tick in the Neck Edge option causes dots to appear along the edge of the fretboard.

A tick in the Neck Face option causes dots to within the main area of the fretboard.

These markers appear as double or single markers, in line with your selections in the Positions list, in all views of the workspace.

The two options may be used individually, or together, or you may decide to have no fret markers at all.

OK

Accepts any changes you have made to the fret markers, closes the Fret Markers window and returns to the Instrument page.
