Introductions

Hi; everyone, my name is Billy, and I  took the urge to buy a banjo, 5 string lifted handed, which seemed hard to get, but I finally sourced one. Although practicing the rolls, 5-2-1 / 5-1-2 etc.
I find it really hard understanding the chords and finger placing.
Yet again reading down the forum, it was mentioned that some of the beginners seem to be in their 60's;  and had a chuckle as that is pigeon hole.
I would appreciate any advice, and thankyou for your patience l.
