Introductions

I have been playing the piano/keyboard/organ since early childhood, starting official lessons at age 9. I have been playing in churches, coffee houses and on worship teams since the eighties. I have performed at many weddings and events through the years. In addition, I have taught students in my home. I love music and everything about it! Probably the aspect of music I enjoy most is encouraging and helping other musicians or those who want to learn. In the past, I have encountered many talented people who are very discouraging and/or unwilling to share the knowledge and skills they have. I have always been in disagreement with that attitude and have done everything in my power to do the reverse. I have played in Latin America through the years, and most notably in the Dominican Republic, where one of my children lives. I would love to spend more time there, teaching and encouraging those who have an abundance of talent, but lack the resources to take lessons. That has brought me my greatest joy through the years, and I would love to spend the rest of my time doing that!
