I have been learning Guitar since 1996, and I am still learning. I need to learn the scales and music reading. When I started the person teaching me started me with barre  chords  so that is basically all I know so far. I also know some open chords and can play and sing some songs by myself. I have never played with anyone else and need to start. If anyone has any ideas or can help I am open for suggestions or help. If I can help anyone, I am willing to teach you what I know.  The sayings I like are. ( Never give up) and (You never stop learning) Keep those two statements in mind and you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Thanks from Don.

Hello,

You can buy, or find online, chord progressions and scale books.  ABRSM is a good one since if you plan on doing grades, that is what they go by. Rockschool also do a 'guitar technical companion' and they also do grades.

Hope this helps.
