Introductions

Hi, I play guitar, teach myself, but I'm now to the point don't know where to go forward, should I know the chord wheel, like prefect 5th thing, or learn some scales. I like Japanese visual kei style music so my friend told me learn Hirajoshi scales. Or I need to know both of these things. If so what's first , thank you!!
