Hello from an old strumming fool (or maybe just a fool).
There's no fool like an old fool - welcome!
What do you strum - instrument, style, influences?
I play an accoustic Jasmine by Takamine and a 'Jay' somebody made in China. It came with a small Practice amp.
Both are cheapies but their actions have turned out to be tolerable up and down the necks.
Influence1? None really. I just picked up a guitar and liked it. I still do.
What I like to play has flip flopped over the years as I larned to do more than , usually, 3 chord progressions. I like to play what others like because I have a natural performer's atitude. I supose I have leaned towards Clapton ever since he did that 'Unplugged' program and my wife said, "Gee, you sound just like him lately." I told her that my accoustic guitar style will never sound that much like his electrified versions. All of a sudden I got 'it'.
I get 'hot' spells where I play every day for a spell and then my guitars sit and collect dust for awhile. Lately, I'm in a playing mood. Not long ago I played Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight' for my daughter's wedding reception and it went very well. I was, of course, dutifully and customerily nagged into it.
Bryan is the name. Feel free to use it. The Mayan calander ends one day before my 61st birthday. We'll not see if I don't live to see my birthday. Those pesky Mayans.
