Print Preview shows you how your report will look before you print it.  This makes it easy to see the effect of changing the Printing Options.

You can switch to Print Preview from the workspace with the following command:

Button	Menu
	File-Print Preview

You may also be diverted here with File-Print or Options-Printing, if you choose Print Preview First in the Select Report window.

Print Preview displays the report on the screen one or two pages at a time, which can be zoomed in for more detail.  Fine report features, such as staff lines, may not be fully visible in the preview, but will still print as expected.

At the top of Print Preview is the Preview Bar, which has buttons for moving between pages, zooming in and out, and changing options. 

Controls

Print

Closes Print Preview, returns to the workspace and prepares to print the report.

Options

Opens the Printing Options property window, so you can change the layout, styles and content of the report.  You can use its Apply button to update Print Preview and see the effect of the new settings.

Next Page
Prev Page

Previews the next or previous page of the report on the screen.  As you move between pages, the page number(s) you are previewing appear in the status bar.

One Page
Two Page

Switches between just a single page or two pages at once on the screen.  This is only available when fully zoomed out to show whole pages.

Zoom In
Zoom Out

Increases the magnification so you can see more detail, or reduces the magnification so you can see a larger area of each page.  You can also zoom in by clicking on a page with the mouse pointer, to examine an area more closely.

Close

Closes Print Preview and returns to the workspace without printing.
