The Formatting page appears in the Printing Options property window.
In addition to the controls shown below, there are extra buttons which are common to all property windows.
It adjusts the formatting properties of the individual elements used in printed reports. Each report type has a different collection of elements, but some (such as Footer Text) are used in all reports.
A preview of the selected element with its current properties is displayed at the bottom in the Preview area. As you change the properties, the preview will be updated.
Controls
Enable Color Printing
ChordWizard is equally suited to printing in full color or in black-and-white, depending on your printer. For a color printer, you will probably want to enable color printing.
For a monochrome printer, you may still want to enable color printing, to get shades of gray. Or you can remove the tick from Enable Color Printing to get a sharper image in black and white only.
Elements
When printing, there are several drawing elements, each of which has several properties you can adjust, such as font, color, alignment and sizing.
When you select an element in this list, its properties appear in the Properties area for you to view or update. Each of these properties is described in detail below.
Font
This drop-down list allows you to change the typeface of the font used for text elements. It is disabled for elements (such as lines) which are not text-based.
Bold
This makes text elements use a bold font. It is disabled for elements which are not text-based.
Italic
This makes text elements use an italic font. It is disabled for elements which are not text-based.
Size
Reports in ChordWizard are designed to automatically choose the optimum size for printed elements, but sizing of some elements can be adjusted using the Size drop-down list.
Instead of the default size of Normal, you can select the other options of Smallest, Smaller, Larger and Largest.
Align
Some elements, such as headings and captions, have a choice of alignments. For these, the Align drop-down list is enabled, allowing you to choose an alignment of Left, Centre or Right.
Color
Most elements have an adjustable color property. The Color drop-down list is available even if you have not ticked Enable Color Printing. In this case, the chosen color will be converted to black or white when used.
Sixteen basic colors are available from the drop-down list, but any color can be selected using the ellipsis button (...) next to it, which opens the standard Color window.
Reset
Resets the properties of the selected element in the Elements list to its default settings.
Reset All
Resets the properties of all elements in the Elements list to their default settings.
