The Display page appears in the Workspace Options property window.
In addition to the controls shown below, there are extra buttons which are common to all property windows.
This page allows you to change the properties (such as colors and fonts) of the display elements that appear in the ChordWizard Music Theory workspace.
A preview of the selected element with its current properties is displayed at the bottom in the Preview area. As you make changes to the properties, the preview will be updated.
At any time, you can press the Apply button to update the workspace in the background and view the actual effect of your changes.
Controls
Elements
The Elements list contains all of the display elements within the workspace. To view or change an element, you select it first in the list, and the properties of the element will appear in the Properties area on the right hand side.
Depending on whether a foreground or background element is selected, the controls in the Properties area may change.
Font
This dropdown list allows you to change the typeface of the font used for foreground text display elements. It is disabled for elements (such as lines) which are not text-based.
Bold
This allows you to make foreground text elements use a bold font. It is disabled for elements which are not text-based.
Italic
This allows you to make foreground text elements use an italic font. It is disabled for elements which are not text-based.
Color
Most display elements have an adjustable color property.
Sixteen basic colors are available from the Color dropdown list, but any possible color can be selected using the Custom button located next to it.
Graphic Image
Some background display elements, such as the Topic Background, can use a graphic image or a plain color.
When ticked, the Graphic Image option uses an image instead of a color, and the Image dropdown list is enabled. When unticked, a color is used, and the Color dropdown list is enabled.
Image
This dropdown list allows you to select a graphic image for most background display elements.
All available graphic images appear as items in the Image list.
