The How Music Works tutorials are an excellent and comprehensive source of information, whose topics you will refer back to or search many times as your knowledge of music expands.
However they are carefully designed so that they can be read in order, with each topic building on those before it.
This makes them suitable for an absolute beginner, as no prior knowledge is assumed, but it is also recommended that musicians of all levels should read them through at least once to discover any gaps in their understanding of music.
Since there are many topics in the tutorials, this may take several sessions of reading and playing the demonstration sounds.
In this case you will find it convenient to use the Bookmark feature, which remembers your current topic between sessions. You can activate (or deactivate) the bookmark with the following command:
| Button | Menu |
| Tutorials-Bookmark Topic |
When the bookmark is active, the topic you are looking at when you close ChordWizard will be selected again automatically next time you open it, whereas otherwise the cover page topic is selected on opening.
A highlighted icon on the tutorials bar or Tutorials menu indicates that the bookmark is active.
