Very little to share. Had 15 yrs. piano lessons while growing up (started at age 5), became competent and could accompany a variety of groups in various settings which benefit from piano music. Stopped playing at age 21, didn't like performing for people, even as accompanist, and decided life could be a lot more fun if I'd ditch the piano. I managed to avoid it for about 31 yrs., then decided to start all over, but this time with a strong music theory background. This, or maybe just to say knowledge of the chords, which should then combine with what I've learned over the years about making music with a piano, rather than playing a piano. My present teachers agree that in failing to instill sufficient information regarding the structure of music, my early life piano teachers unwittingly contributed to my eventual impasse and decision to quit playing the piano. I am now playing better than I ever did in my early life, am able to memorize music now, as before could not.
